As a result of more restrictive anti-LGBTI and anti-NGO <\/span>laws adopted in the past year, it should be noted that <\/span>access to information about developments in the <\/span>country has been increasingly difficult. There is no <\/span>public information available on LGBTI issues. Activists <\/span>and organisations working for equality are facing<\/span> increased risks in their safety and freedom, especially <\/span>since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russia, <\/span>which contributes to making access to information <\/span>more difficult.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Coming Out published its 2021 annual report<\/a><\/span> finding <\/span>unprecedented crackdowns on civil society and <\/span>human rights. The Anti-Discrimination Centre Memorial <\/span>echoed<\/span> similar findings in its report<\/a> in May.<\/span><\/p>\n
