How should we write about the child-victim of the war without turning the story into a media-sensation?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These questions &#8211; among many others &#8211; were discussed by human rights defenders, psychologists, sociologists, and civil society representatives at a seminar dedicated to the challenges of monitoring children&#8217;s rights in Ukraine during the war-time (Lviv, July 2026).<\/p>\n<p>Speakers addressed the issues of the search for missing children and the documentation of war crimes committed by Russia against children in Ukraine, were presented approaches to the psychological support to the traumatised children, to the ethics of related research and interviews involving children, cooperation between the state and civil society, advocacy for children&#8217;s rights. Previously was published the presentation on the right to education during the war \u2014 now we invite you to watch other participants who spoke at the seminar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLcauNHaimekI\">(videos in Ukrainian)<\/a> on our channel.<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/playlist?list=PLcauNHaimekI\">The videos<\/a> were recorded during the seminar on monitoring children&#8217;s rights, held on July 7\u20138, 2026, in Lviv. The seminar was organized by ADC Memorial with the support and participation of the Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group.<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em>The publication is created in the framework of the project \u201cDocumenting and analysing international crimes committed by the Russia\u2019s armed forces after 24.02.2022, helping victims of these crimes and informing on crimes\u201d implemented by Kharkiv Human Rights Protection Group, Center for Civil Liberties and ADC Memorial Brussels, funded by the European Union.<\/em><\/p>\n<div><em>Views and opinions expressed are those of the author(s) only and do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union.
