{"id":78,"date":"2011-05-11T17:43:35","date_gmt":"2011-05-11T17:43:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/memorial.local:8888\/www\/78.html"},"modified":"2011-08-09T12:22:15","modified_gmt":"2011-08-09T12:22:15","slug":"booklet-looking-for-paths-of-remembrance-published","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/adcmemorial.org\/en\/news\/booklet-looking-for-paths-of-remembrance-published\/","title":{"rendered":"Booklet \u201cLooking for paths of remembrance\u201d published"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The project \u201cNational-socialist genocide of Roma \u2013 looking for paths of remembrance\u201d was carried out by the Anti-Discrimination Centre Memorial together with the <span><span>Documentation and Cultural Centre of German<\/span><\/span><span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Sinti<span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span><span>and<\/span><\/span><span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Roma in Heidelberg, supported by the<em> <\/em><\/span><span>Foundation &#8220;Remembrance, Responsibility and Future<script src=\"\"><\/script><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><!--more--><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The Roma students from Russia and Germany visited the places of mass extermination of the Roma people by the fascists during the Second World War \u2013 the Brest fortress in Belarus, the Museum of Warsaw Uprising and the<span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Auschwitz<span><span>-Birkenau Memorial and State Museu<\/span><\/span><\/span>m in Poland, the Holocaust Museum in Moscow, the places of mass executions of Roma in the Smolensk and Pskov regions in Russia. The students met historians working on the genocide of the Roma people, recorded the stories told by the witnesses of these tragic events.
