Feedback ADC “Memorial” with the information support of “Her Rights” center presented alternative report on discrimination against women in Belarus. Expert of ADC “Memorial” reported on these problems at a meeting of members of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), paying particular attention to the list of professions prohibited for women and forced sterilization of women belonging to “disadvantaged categories” (women with alcohol and/or other addictions or very low income), as well as on unreasonable seizures of children as a result of a recognition of families “dysfunctional” and children being in “socially risky situation”.
