Feedback ADC “Memorial” has received official notice from the Russian Ministry of Justice that it had been liquidated. An official statement to this effect was introduced by the ministry into the Register of juridical persons on April 11, 2014.
ADC “Memorial” was liquidated following decision by its council, which stated that listing the NGO in the “Register of NGOs performing the functions of foreign agents”, as was demanded by the procurator’s suit and court rulings which ruled in its favor, was unacceptable. On April 8, 2014 court ruling on registration of ADC “Memorial” in the above mentioned Register and registration of its logo came into force. But before the end of two week period allocated by the law for implementation of this decision, NGO ADC “Memorial” was liquidated by the Russian Ministry of justice.
