ADC “Memorial” with support from the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) has prepared report to the 111th Session of the UN Committee on Human Rights devoted to violations of civil and political rights of minorities, including ethnic groups, migrants, and LGBT activists; women and children in vulnerable positions; the illegal restriction of the right to express a critical opinion.
Sections of the report dealing with the rights of migrants were also supported by the Civic Platform Partnership “Central Asia in Motion” and human rights movement “Bir Duyno” from Kyrgyzstan.
Report is devoted to violations of several articles of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. Primary attention is devoted to the topics that ADC “Memorial” is most deeply involved with, i.e. the right to freedom of speech and expression, minority rights, the rights of Roma people and labor migrants, and the rights of women and children.
