ADC Memorial volunteers visit Roma settlement in Leningrad region

On July 8, the volunteers of the ADC Memorial have visited a Roma settlement in the town of Peri, the Leningrad region. The volunteers organised an interesting educational class for the children.

A dozen of children of different ages painted, did collages and clayed with a great enthusiasm. The most popular thing to clay was a snail. The children clayed a whole group of snails and a beatiful bear.

While small Anzhella was learning how to glue paper figures together, the others talked in a strange mixture of Russian, Romani and English.

Now we are planning to organise regular classes of out-of-school activities for Roma children.
