1st of December – World AIDS Day.
Despite the AIDS has been comprehensively researched since 1980th, and the retrovirus therapy allows HIV-positive people to live an ordinary life, there are a lot of myths and prejudices around the HIV\AIDS. Due to this, HIV-positive people have been stigmatized and discriminated. Being afraid of the vulnerable situation, many people do not pass medical inspection and registration and, consequently, do not have the treatment they need. This, in its turn, leads just to expand of the epidemy.
The fight against AIDS means the fight against discrimination as well. That’s why we prepared the cards about violations of the rights of HIV+ people, and about their efforts on overcoming discrimination.
