Feedback A press-conference of the Center for information and analysis «Sova» and Anti-discrimination centre «Memorial» took place at the Institute of regional press in St. Petersburg on March 20, 2013.
Alexander Verkhovskiy, director of «Sova» center and Natalia Yudina, expert of the organisation, participated in the presentation. They presented the annual report «The Ultra-right in the streets: holding a poster for democracy or a knife in a pocket. Xenophobia and radical nationalism in Russia and counteraction in 2012».
The talk given by Stephania Kulaeva, program manager of ADC «Memorial» in St.Petersburg, was devoted to the session of the UN Committee for Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD) in February 2013 in Geneva where the official report of the Russian government on the abidance of the UN Convention and the alternative report prepared by ADC «Memorial» and «Sova» center were presented.
The report of «Sova» center as well as the press-release of the alternative report for the UN and partial recommendations of the UN Committee were distributed at the event.
At the end the speakers answered the questions of journalists and civil activists.
