Short movies about persecutions against Crimean Tatars from the project “Sentsov list” were presented in Brussels in October 2018; specially for this presentation ADC Memorial translated some of the movies into English.

On 14 May 2018, Ukrainian film director Oleg Sentsov, detained in Russia since spring 2014, started an open-ended hunger strike demanding the release of Ukrainian political prisoners included into so called “Sentsov List”. Russian independent film director Tasya Krougovykh launches the series of ultra-short movies dedicated to these unfairly convicted persons:

“We have come up with a very simple idea: shoot one-minute films about those Oleg Sentsov wants released from prison. And the film should be just that – a proper piece of cinema”.

In October, 2018, Oleg Sentsov was awarded the European Parliament Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought.
