On September 7-12, 2011 XXIV Moscow International Book Fair – one of the biggest book fairs in the world – took place in Moscow. ADC Memorial was invited to participate in the conference by the Senior Human Rights Advisor to the UN team country in the Russian Federation. ADC Memorial presented the work of the organisation and its books at the pavillion of human rights organised by the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
All visitors could read human rights reports and bulletins prepared by ADC Memorial and take copies of the Anti-fascist motive, Short handbook on Romani and a bilingual book of Romani tales by Alexander Klein. Many participants as well as the visitors of the fair found this book particularly interesting. Everyone could ask questions about main activities of the organisation and advocacy for the rights of discriminated groups.
We would like to thank the volunteers of the Office of the UN High Commisioner for Human Rights who helped and supported us a lot during the fair. We appreciate the interest of the visitors of the fair very much.
