Helping defend labor rights

On May 23, 2013 the staff of ADC “Memorial” helped labor migrants from Uzbekistan and Tadzhikistan to defend their labor rights violated by ”Novy Dom” cleaning company. The workers were employed at various positions within the company, servicing “Laplandia Fish” food
production facilities. They were unable to receive their salaries for the last two months of work. As a result of rather difficult negotiations with the management of the company, the staff of ADC ”Memorial” managed to prove that the employer has seriously violated existing labor legislation when employing the workers. Following the talks the workers successfully received Rb 300,000 in wage arrears.
