Constitutional court defended Children’s Right to Housing.

The Constitutional Court declared that paragraph 4 of article 292 of the Civil Code is unconstitutional. This paragraph allows parents to dispose of the premises that provides the only housing for their child.

In its judgment the Constitutional Court has cited the European Court practice for reasoning the priority of the child’s welfare and noted the importance of the realization of the right for housing in order to provide children with a dignified life and development.
